Expecting Mother in a Magical Golden Woods and Water Setting / Madison, WI

There are nights that I just know are going to be magical. Especially when I’m photographing an expecting mother, which in itself, is pure magic. The sun begins to dip down and the sky fills with an array of warm colors that makes a pregnant woman glow from the inside out.

When I found this location I was SO excited to shoot here. Tall trees, gentle streams, whispering grasses, and light that illuminated it all. I knew from the beginning that I’d save this spot for a maternity session.

This mother is expecting her fifth child, and she’s already so connected to her baby. The way she holds her belly is knowing and loving, and I’m grateful that I was able to give her this experience of calm one-on-one time.
